Community Guidelines
Slide is for low-pressure, in-person social events in public places. Everyone is responsible for their own choices, but everyone is also expected to help keep the room respectful.
Public places only
Events must happen in public, lawfully accessible locations like parks, cafes, restaurants, bookstores, museums, community spaces, or similar venues. Do not create events at homes, hotel rooms, short-term rentals, private parties, or other private spaces.
Respect boundaries
- No harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, hate speech, or unwanted sexual comments.
- No pressure to drink, use substances, share contact information, leave with someone, or stay longer than someone wants.
- No impersonation, fake profiles, or misleading event details.
- No illegal activity, weapons-related events, gambling, commercial spam, or paid solicitation through Slide.
Use the tools
If something feels off, leave. If someone violates these guidelines, report them in the app and block them if needed. Slide may remove events, deny join requests, suspend accounts, ban users, or preserve report evidence when needed to investigate safety issues.
