Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Logic & Lens LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Slide (the "App").
1. Information we collect
- Account information: phone number or email, display name, date of birth, gender (optional), and profile photo (optional).
- Verification face data: selfie photos submitted during signup or when joining an event that requires verification, the pose prompt shown to you, verification status, verification date, and the storage path for the selfie. We do not create or store faceprints, facial geometry templates, face embeddings, or biometric identifiers.
- Event activity: events you create, join, check into, or cancel, and comments you post.
- Location: approximate location for the map and precise location at event check-in (used only at that moment).
- Device data: device type, operating system, and push notification token.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, performance data, and error logs used to find and fix issues.
- Reports: content submitted when you report another user, including optional video evidence.
2. How we use information
- To run the core event-discovery and attendance features.
- To verify identity and prevent fraud, impersonation, and abuse.
- To investigate reports and enforce our community standards.
- To send notifications about events, verification status, and account activity.
- To improve the App and understand how it is used in aggregate.
2A. Face data and selfie verification
Slide uses verification selfies only to confirm that an account is operated by a real person, reduce impersonation and fraud, unlock verification-gated events, and support safety investigations or legal requests when necessary. Selfies are reviewed by Slide admins only. They are not shown to other users, not used for advertising, and not used to train artificial-intelligence or facial-recognition models.
Face data is stored in Supabase private storage and associated database records. We may share face data with Supabase as our storage and database provider because Supabase processes it for us. We do not sell face data or share it with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other users. We may disclose face data if required by law or when necessary to protect user safety.
3. How we share information
- With other users: your display name, profile photo, and event attendance are visible to other users of the App.
- With service providers: we use Supabase (database and authentication), Expo (push notifications), Sentry (diagnostics), and OpenStreetMap / Google Maps (map tiles and geocoding). These providers process data on our behalf.
- For legal reasons: we may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety of users.
- We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data retention
We retain account information while your account is active. Verification selfies are retained for up to 90 days from the date of verification to support safety investigations, fraud reports, and law-enforcement requests; after 90 days the raw photo is automatically deleted from our storage, unless we are legally required to preserve it (for example, in response to a subpoena, preservation letter, or active investigation). The "verified" status itself may continue past that window per the app's verification expiry rules. Report evidence may be retained as long as needed for the investigation. When you delete your account, we begin a 30-day grace period, after which your personal data is permanently removed except where retention is legally required.
5. Your choices
- Access and correction: you can view and edit your profile at any time in the App.
- Deletion: you can delete your account from the Profile screen.
- Location: you can disable location permission in your device settings; some features (map, check-in) will not work without it.
- Notifications: you can disable push notifications in your device settings.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures — including row-level security on our database and private storage for verification photos and report evidence — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
Slide is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the App.
